Eco-Friendly Hedge Trimming

Hedge trimming of seasonal growth can be undertaken all year round. If you would like your hedge reduced in height or width beyond the seasonal growth, this should be undertaken to avoid the main garden bird nesting season between March and August. As such, we normally undertake hedge reduction work outside of these months.

However, hedge reduction can take place during the nesting season if the hedges have first been inspected to ascertain there are no nesting birds inside the hedge. I can undertake this inspection for you, however, I do charge for this with the cost based on the size of the hedge as it does include a period of time watching for any bird activity flying in to the hedge, as well as inspecting the inside of the hedge.

Nesting birds are protected by the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981.

We undertake Hedge Trimming on hedges up to 12ft high as well as the trimming of bushes and shrubs.

You don’t need to be at home when we trim your hedges, bushes or shrubs, as all our power tools are Eco-Friendly battery-powered. On the day of our visit, which we confirm in advance, all you need to do is ensure we have access to the parts of your garden needed to undertake the work you require. Then, you can return home to find your garden all maintained and ready for you. If you would like, we can also lock any gates etc. when we leave.

Regular trimming promotes healthy and denser growth for most hedges, bushes and shrubs, which helps prevents gaps and die back. If you are a weekly or fortnightly Grass Cutting customer, your discounted preferential rates extend to our Hedge Trimming service.

DBS checked, Public Liability Insurance, City & Guilds NPTC qualified for spraying Professional Plant Protection Products such as herbicides/weedkillers, as well as licensed to recycle and dispose of your green garden waste if you need us to, you can trust us to provide the friendly, reliable and professional service you desire; helping keep your garden looking it’s best all year round.
